2020 has been a difficult year for long term care residents and caregivers, and the Holiday season isn’t going to be easier for them.

Covid-19 cases lead to an overwhelming spike in loneliness and isolation. Crosswater has an innovative solution to combat this unintended consequence.

In partnership with Primacare Living Solutions, and Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation, Crosswater participated in ‘The Albert Project,’ a research study conducted by Dr. Karen Campbell of Western University. The collaborative study focused on reducing anxiety and depression, as well as improving quality of life for long-term care residents contending with the daily effects of dementia. Therapeutic music and Immersive VR/360 content, delivered via VR headsets and Immersive VR projections, provided the new experiences to these residents.
Times like these require innovative solutions. It’s what Crosswater has specialized in for almost 30 years. Support the elderly in your life by calling to chat, and consider the therapeutic power of Immersive VR/360 to curb their loneliness.
